Funny @ 40s

Waking up in glee,
Brushing till squeaky,
Scrubbing soapy, foamy,
Tapping with turkey—
Clean, with no smudge;
What remained is age!

Dark pits, dug around,
Safeguarding the eyes;
Forehead swim lanes
Grabbed the headlines;

Combs are making
In-roads on scalps;
Chins are twinning
For top-angle selfies.

A smitten sugar daddy,
Colluding with carbs—
Once a harmless samosa,
Now, a Strait of Hormuz!

Is it all bad?
Is there no good?
Mind alone conflicts
And competes with youth.

Tasted the grapes,
Relished its nectar;
Wine is awaiting—
Time to get tipsy!

No need to yearn,
No regrets for the goofups.
Isn't age just a number?
Stay funny in your 40s!
